Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull!!

Yes I am the biggest nerd you wil ever meet! I loved Indiana Jones growing up so I had to dress up for the new movie! It was great. I think the next Indiana Jones should be about a girl. I totally would play the part! haha

Horseshoe Canyon

Last weekend Jake's dad took Jake and I plus his sisters Abbey and Angie, and brother Dan to Green River. While we were there we hiked Horseshoe Canyon, played at Goblin Valley and did a scenic drive through Arches National Park. I had such a blast! I love southern Utah and it's natural beauty. It was so fun to share it with Jake.

Jake and I stopping to have lunch.

The whole gang at the end of the hike. We made it!

GO JAZZ!!!!

On Sunday May 11th (Yes on Mother's Day) Jake and I went with his mom Dianne and brother Nick to the Jazz playoff game against the L.A. Lakers. The game went into overtime but we won. It was the best game I have ever been to. I yelled so much I lost my voice for a little while.
We just have to win two more games to beat the Lakers!

I'm wearing Kyle Korver's jersey. Jake and I joke that he is my on-the-side boyfriend. But all joking aside he is so beautiful!

the view from our seats was amazing!

Two hotties at the game.

Happy Mother's Day! (Nick and Dianne) I think that game was the best mother's day present ever.

Renaissance Fair, Saturday May 10th

On Saturday the 10th Jake and I , along with some of Jake's friends went to the Renaissance and Fantasy Fair. It was such a blast! I was the only one out of our group that dressed up but that didn't damper the day one bit. I love acting like a complete nerd!

Jake and I observing all of the nerds that a Renaissance Fair produces. They really come out of the wood work.

Can you believe it I got a picture with Queen Elizabeth herself along with the ladies in waiting behind her.

There even was belly dancing! Opah!

Court Jester juggling his sticks.
The Jousting was really cool. We were rooting for the knight on the right.
His name is Charles, and he promised us tickets to the Colorado Fair.

A Fun Tag

I got this tag from Erin, my husband's cousin. It was fun to fill out and I hope you enjoy it.

Which character or star?Staring Me of course

Most embarrassing moment your friends will never let die? When I told them to change the radio station because I couldn't feel the spirit.

Your proudest moment or accomplishment? When I passed my state boards test to become a Master Esthetician

What adult did you have a crush on when you were little? Brendan Fraser! he was so hot in the Mummy, or I thought at the time.

What habit or personality trait do you have of your mother or father? I tend to be a little controlling sometimes and I also stress out way to much just like my mom. I don't know about my dad.

What did you want to change your name to when you were little?
I always loved my name!

Who was your first kiss? Jason Mower, The summer before my senior year. He was my first boyfriend and he lived all the way down at Alpine, so there was a lot of sneaking out in those days.

What are 3 adjectives that someone from high school or middle school would use to describe you? Flirtatious, outgoing, kind (hopefully)

What hairstyle, clothes, or other accessories did you rock back in the day when it was cool?I loved the side ponytail with colorful baggy shirts and flower print biker shorts!

What job did those long and annoying surveys in school say you would be good at? They always either said I would be an artist or a councilor

Favorite memories of hanging out with your best friends?
Cruising state street with Christine, Amber and Katie. I love you guys!

What's the most trouble you have ever got in with your parents? When I scared my mom into thinking I would end up with a complete lunatic for the rest of my life. I ended up with Jake instead. That's a whole lot better, right? ha ha

What was your 5 year plan when you had to write it out in high school? Go work at Disney World, then become either an Archaeologist (you know like Laura Croft off of Tomb Raiders) or an Art Historian and travel the world until I settled down to start a family.

And last but not least...What is your 5 year plan now?Get the Med Spa business going so that I can be a stay at home mommy. That's all I really want to be!

Believe In Your Dreams!

So if you haven't heard all ready I am working on opening a medical spa with my mother-in-law and a Dr. It is called Namaste Med Spa and it should be open by now. But of course opening a business is not smooth sailing, we have had a lot of hiccups along the way via loans, construction, equipment etc. You name it and it has probably happened. On a happy note things are still moving along just at a slower pace than we had wished. Right now we are stationed at Dr.Goldberg's Internal Medicine office at Jordan Valley Hospital. I have been working 4-5 days a week doing Hair removal, skin and fat tightening, and skin resurfacing non stop. I also am doing all of the scheduling and helping with authorization through the lasers company, the Dr., and the state/city. So basically I have no life right now. This has been an amazing journey and I am so grateful that I have had this opportunity to start a business in such a hands on way. Earlier this yr. I actually created the original floor plan and came up with the name of the spa. Ever since I started my schooling I said I would love to have my own spa and name it "Namaste", and now it is happening! All I can say is stay positive and go for your dreams and they will come true if you have enough determination. I'd like you to know a little about why I choose the spa name that I did. It is an Indian greeting that is used in passing with head bowed and palms facing each other in prayer in front of you. If any of you have done Yoga, we do it at the end of a session. It has many meanings, my favorite is: I recognize the divine in you and the divine in me, together we are filled with truth, beauty, and light. Together we can accomplish anything; Namaste (Nah-mah-stay).
