Thriller

Last night Jake and I went to Odyssey Dance's opening performance of "Thriller" at Kingsbury Hall at the University of Utah. Every Halloween they put on this amazing productions with dance numbers from "Thriller", "Chuckie", and the Salem Witch Trials, to name a few. This year they added some more from "Hunchback of Notre Dame", and the movie "The Grudge". It was so fun and it really got us into the Halloween mood. Before it started we were escorted/followed to our seats by zombies. They were crawling everywhere outside and inside the theater, on top of chairs and railings. It was so freaky!! I got some pretty cool pictures of them.

We were scared out of our wits! Ha ha.

It looks like Jake needed a new pair of pants

It's Showtime!

This past weekend October 9th-11th I was involved in my stake's musical called, "Showtime!" We performed some favorites from all types of Broadway Musicals. I was lucky enough to get the park of Cosette from "Les Miserables". We performed the piece, "One Day More". I also sung in the chorus of a number from "Wicked" and also Andrew Loyd Weber's "Starlight Express". In addition to performing I was in charge of make-up for the whole cast. I checked, corrected, and applied make-up all night long while I wasn't performing on stage. It was such a blast and I hope to have the opportunity to do more musicals.

Here I am all ready with my "Cosette" costume on.

Typical stage make-up. I'm glad I don't have to wear it like this everyday.

General Conference

Yesterday, Oct 4th and Today, Oct 5th, was the 178th General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. (which is the church that I belong to). I had the wonderful opportunity to go to the afternoon session of General Conference on Saturday along with Jake, my uncle Mark, and my cousin Allison. It was my first time ever attending. I had such a good time. I loved all that I heard and it was so nice to actually go to the Conference Center and be there. Downtown Salt Lake was so beautiful, even though it was a little rainy and chilly the flowers where out in full bloom at Temple Square.

A Primary Choir was there. They were so cute!

My cousin Allison and I sat next to each other. She was really happy to be there too, she even took notes.

On our way to the Conference Center. Jake and I stopped to get this picture in front of the Salt Lake Temple. We were married there almost exactly 2 and a half years ago. My how the time flies!

Here are the Gardens in front of the Lion House and the Beehive House Downtown. They are so beautiful right now!
