Babymoon and Mothers Day!

This month has been a fun one for Jake and I. The weekend of Mother's Day we went along with my mom to Zion National Park to do some light hiking and relaxing. It was so beautiful and the weather was perfect.

The following week we went on a 'Babymoon' to Las Vegas. A 'Babymoon' is your last trip together alone before your baby comes. Kinda like a honeymoon. It was so fun!

24 weeks along at the base of the Narrows at Zion National Park

 Garden Room at the Belagio

We stayed at the MGM Grand. I loved soaking in the rays (with SPF on) And nothing can be better than floating weightless in a pool when you are pregnant. I definitely need access to a pool this summer!!

Phillip is so excited to announce that he is having a baby brother, and his name is Jack!

It's hard to tell, but here is our little Jack's 'manhood'

Here I am at 19 weeks, tomorrow I'll be 20 weeks. That's half way!! This past week I went to Washington with my sister-in-law Angela, to visit our cousin Jane and her family. Here I am at La Push beach right out side Forks, Washington. We had so much fun! I will post more pictures of our super fun trip!

I have taken a few pictures to keep track of my progression in the pregnancy. Looking through these are so fun, they sure do show the changes. 23 more weeks to go till my little one is here!

I feel huge already but I know I will just be getting bigger. Being pregnant can be so hard because I've been so sick but it really is such an amazing experience. I am so grateful for this little miracle!

Showing!

It's official, I'm starting to show! I'm almost 13 weeks, and days away from my second trimester. (Hopefully that means my "evening" sickness will go away soon)  We have been narrowing down name ideas but I won't announce them till we know the gender. Any guesses on the gender? I think its a boy but Jake thinks a girl. Make a comment and tell me what you think we are having!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope everyone had a Valentine's Day  filled with love! Jake sent me these beautiful flowers at my work. It was also the first day of school for a group of our students. It was a very fun day at work filled with heart decorations, candy, and fun. After work, Jake and I went to dinner and I went straight to bed cause I am always exhausted now. It was such a good day!

To My Valentine: I love you so much Jake! And I'm so excited to start our little family together! Thank you for all that you do for us, you are the love of my forever.

It's A Miracle!!!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I would beg to differ, this picture is definitely worth a million words! We are so happy to announce that we are pregnant! It was a complete surprise when we found out and we are in such a happy state of shock and bliss! We have been on this journey to start a family for 4 years and most of you know that we were days away from being approved for adoption. We are so grateful for this tiny little miracle in our lives. I am currently 10 1/2 weeks along. The baby is healthy, happy, and has a beautiful heartbeat. Our baby will be due September 1st 2012. We had our Ultra Sound yesterday and it was so amazing. Our baby was waving it's sweet little arms and legs at us and we could see the cute little heart beat. It still seems like a dream that I hope I never wake up from! Thank you, thank you, thank you, to everyone who has prayed for us and supported us through this amazing journey! You have been such a comfort to us! Here is to a happy year and a healthy baby!!

Home Study Finished!

This is just a short post to update our status on the Adoption Approval process. We just had our Home Study this morning. During the Home Study our case worker comes in and tours the home, asks questions, and interviews everyone living in the home. She needs to make sure our home is safe and has a wholesome atmosphere for a child to grow up in. It went really well. She loved the home and of course she loves Zona (My Grandmother who we live with) There are only a few more steps to go and then we should be approved by the end of January. We are so excited for the blessings to come and we are so grateful for everyones prayers and support. Thank you!
